Oz from H’two’0 has just dropped Hard2Beat a line to give us all the gossip from the Bassline Vs Garage Classics night that he’s running over in Ibiza. Here are a few of the juiciest excerpts from his diary:
· The Bassline DJ's drink of choice appears to be the mojito - when we worked out that drinks vouchers also got you free cocktails where d'ya think everyone flocked to?! At one of the after parties one of the guest DJs took it upon himself to go into the woods and build a tree house...apparently that meant he would have a place to stay so he didn’t have to go home?! I think he’d had a bit too much to drink during the night...
· Everyone knows that you should never go number 2 in a club....this rule was proved when one of the DJs got caught short and somehow managed to lose his brand new phone between the ‘trousers down’ and ‘trousers up’ process......silly man (we love him really tho!!)
· One of the guest DJs fell privy to mine and Gurps' hilarious sense of humour, as he woke up and went to the shops covered in tattoos all over his face. We thought would be fun to cover him in them as he slept...
· The afterparty that the DJs and workers go to has a habit of continuing well into the week - i’ve been working on a Wednesday and have seen people only just going home then! It starts on Sunday night!!
· There’s an on-going competition between me and Jamie Duggan on a Sunday where we quiz people outside about who they’ve heard of...H’two’0 or Jamie Duggan.....we're so self indulgent!
· Oh...and if you wanna get a tan really badly, don’t take advice from one of our DJs who was that desperate to go golden brown that he went out and slept in the sun with very little suncream on for 6hours!! He fell asleep and didn’t turn over so he woke up red from the front...pale from behind....just like the locals yeah?!
· The trend at the moment seems to be DJs missing flights...none better than RWD Mag’s very own Chewy, who got to the airport 3 hours before check in and still missed his plane!!?? Explain that!
· On a slightly more humbling note, it’s amazing to see how many people know the name H’two’0, and who we are. We’ve had an amazing response, especially the Bucanerro’s crowd!
· And finally, a well known club manager that we know from the UK phoned me to tell me he'd been thrown out of a club for "absolutely no reason whatsoever," and could I "get him back in??" Pull the other one, you’re a night club manager! How many times have you heard that story!?
